Principals of the Firm

Scangarello, LLC is a multi-disciplinary firm with offices in Medford Township, Long Beach Island and Naples, Florida. Scangarello, LLC evolved from the firms of Thomas J. Scangarello and Associates and Planning Design Collaborative and has been providing an array of planning and design services for more than 42 years.

Thomas J. Scangarello, PP

Thomas Scangarello is the sole proprietor of Scangarello, LLC. He is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Planner and a recognized expert in the field of land use planning. Mr. Scangarello specializes in design, zoning and environmental planning matters and is actively sought as a consulting planner and participant in state and national programs. Mr. Scangarello has represented municipal governments and planning and zoning boards for more than thirty seven years. He also represents private land developers. Throughout his notable career, he has prepared plans for residential and commercial development, natural resource inventories, master plans, waterfront revitalization plans, and land development ordinances for towns throughout New Jersey and New York. He has also participated in the development review process and has been retained as an expert witness in environmental planning and housing matters.

Mr. Scangarello initiated the state certification process for members of approving authorities in the State of New Jersey. As an adjunct professor for Rutgers University, he is responsible for teaching the planning and zoning course to newly appointed members of Planning and Zoning Boards.

Tom Scangarello, Jr.
Planning Associate / L.E.E.D. Consultant

Tom Scangarello, Jr. received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professional in sustainable housing and landscape development. Before relocating to New Jersey, Mr. Scangarello lived in Florida where he worked as the Housing Development Manager for a not-for-profit development company in the urban core of Jacksonville. He is also certified by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) in the construction of paver systems and by the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) in the construction of segmental retaining walls.

Dianne Feltoon
Planning Associate

Dianne Feltoon has a Bachelor Degree in fine arts. Ms. Feltoon assists in the administration of planning projects. Dianne is also responsible for project coordination, development application review, research, report preparation, public relations and marketing.
